STAFFORD NEWS.

A meeting convened by Alessrs Saudi© and Lyons for th© purpose of taking all precautions with regard to the influenza epidemic was held on Tuesday evening.
Air Saudi© being in the chair spoke most earnestly on behalf of the above object and the following sub-committee was appointed to deal in case of emergency—Alessrs Sandle, Lyons, Carroll, and G. Linklater.
The following gentlemen were also made special officers for the whole of the district—L. E. Morgan, Geo, Linklater, R. Roberts, E. J. Oarroll, E. Mitchell, B. Lyons, W. Routhnn, G. Low, 11. W. Sandle. So far so good. Air Saudi© is lending a thermometer and Air Carroll has volunteered to take the temperature of any one suffering in th© districts So far every precaution is being taken by all individually and this evening a spraying apparatus has been installed at the Post Office Store and will bo in readiness during the day and evening.
The ladies present at the meeting were Mrs G. Linklater and Miss Hampson and it was arranged that a meeting of ladies be called on Friday afternoon at 3 p.m. A vote of thanks to the chair concluding the meeting.
