OBITUARY.

Mr Gilbert Mount, eldest son of Mr. James Mouat-, formerly of Charleston, died in Wellington on Monday morning from influenza. ll© was 33 years of ago. Th© death occurred from influenza of Mr. John Kane, of the staff of the Royal Oak Hotel, a man well-known to the travelling public of New Zealand.

Air J. Duncan of Millerton has received word that bis little boy, aged 7 years had died on Tuesday in Wellington from influenza. At the same place Mr Duncan’s brother-in-law is a victim of the epidemic.

* The death of another victim of tho epidemic took place yesterday afternoon at Westland Hospital of Mr James Killen. Deceased who cam© from Addison's Flat, Westport, and was employed by .Messrs Jeffries and Co. some two or three years ago. Afterwards ho joined up with ono of the reinforcements and reached Sling Camp but was invalided back some time ago and had since been working at Ruatapu. Re was a singl© man, 28 years of ago. H© leaves a sister in Palmerston North and one in Kaiapol, another sister in ■ltunanga having recently passed away.

Air. F. V. Waters, First Assistant, Secretary of the Post and Telegraph De part, died this evening from influenza complications. WELLINGTON, This Day.

Arthur H. Stevenson, assistant executive officer of the Alunitions and Supplies Department, Wellington, and formerly of the City Council staff, died last night of influenza. 14 DEATHS OF SOLDIERS. WELLINGTON. This Day. There were fourteen deaths of soldiers reported.
