OBITUARY.
The deatli look place at Wellington on Thursday last of Mr Gerald Dee, a nephew of Mr Garret Deo and the late Mr Patrick Dee, of Hokitika. Deceased was 42 years of age.
Last night another victim, the 43rd,. in Greymouth, was added to tho list, in the person of Mr Jacob Shrives, a wellknown and highly respected resident of Groymouth. Deceased had been somoni the Hospital, but took a had turn yesterday, and death ensued last night. He was a single man about 4-3 years of ago and some years ago was engaged inmining at Kumraa, later residing at. Greymouth and Moana.
M o deeply regrot having to record’, tho death at Victoria School Hospital' this morning about mid-day of Miss; Edith Merowother, tho daughter of Mr* and M rs. Merewetlier of Stafford. The’ deceased, who was a bright lovable girlj. was about 19 years of age, had! boon employed by Mrs Staveley when she was struck down with the epidemic. Her condition has been very serious for several days past, but the end came today. Very sincere sympathy will be ex tended to tho bereaved parents and relatives. Mrs J. Johnstone of! Bevel] street is an aunt.
