Peace thanksgivings were hold at all churches in the Commonwealth on Sunday and largely attended. Ihcro were many monster open air demonstrations likewise.

GALLIPOLI STAR DECORATION MELBOURNE' November i 9.

In view of the War Office's decision to award a star and ribbon to all officers and men serving before the 31st December 1915, tho Defence Authorities are of the opinion that there will bo no Gallipoli Star decoration as originally proposed. This will bo an invidous distinction to Australians, if it is not also awarded to the British 29th Division which participated at Gallipoli.
