[PEE PBEBB ASSOCIATION .—COPYRIGHT.] quarantined. SYDNEY. This Day. Two officers and seven men of the fire brigades headquarters staff, through a fire nboard the steamer Mataroma, are being quarantined owing to influenza. The firemen boarded it, thereby extailing seven days detention. It is understood the fire is under control. The damage is unknown. THANKS OFFERINGS. SYDNEY This Day. There were many references and thanks offerings in the churches at Turkey’s surrender, coupled with early antiepntions of wider developments towards peace.
