A French communique states there ■was fierce fighting on the east bank of the Oise opposite Verly le Grand where the enemy launched several counter attacks. Further south the French pushed their lines as far as the approaches of the Oise, capturing strong points north, west of Guise. We also progressed east of Pcronim and in the region northeast of Pargnv Wood. The French arc now in contact with the whole of the new enemy line between the Oise and Serre. The French advanced north of Heriy and west of Chateau Porcien.
