ITALIAN ATTACK
LONDON, Oct. 26
Notwithstanding unfavourable weather, the Allies crossed the Ornic river and captured Monte SolarTo, part of Monte Prassolan, and Monte Pertica. Thev have also taken the islands of Grevet, Popadopoli and Maggiorc in the river Piave.
A wireless Italian official message states: After day-long fighting in the region of Mount Grappa, wo maintained and extended yesterday’s gains, prisoner! mr two thousand one hundred and forty-nine. We captured Mount Pertica and Mount Valderoa, northward of Spioncia. Albanian bands inflicted considerable losses on the retreating Austrians in Albania.
OFFENSIVE SUSPENDED. LONDON, Oct. 27. The Italian attack lias been suspended owing to had weather, and tho rivers being flooded.
BRITISH-ITALIAN SUCCESS. LONDON, October 28.
British Italian official —Under General Cavana’s command, the Italian Tenth army’s attack across the Piave in Grave di Pala Dopoli area commenced. The Italians on the right, overcame strong resistance, while the British on the left are advancing satisfactorily and have reached the first objective also overcoming strong resistance.
CAPTURES IN ITALY. (Received This Dav at 8.45 a.m.) NEW YORK, Oct-. 28. British troops in Italy have captured 5,600 prisoners and twenty-nine guns.
