The tenth annual report and balance sheet says:—Again we have to record a satisfactory increase in the quantity of milk received and cheese made. The total amount of milk received was 3,558,8401b5, with an average test of 3.72, yielding 132,5861bs of butter fat and produced 356,1601bs of cheese, an increase of 14 tons on previous sea son. The amount of cheese made per lb was 2.68, and it required nearly 10 lbs of milk to make a lb of cheese. The whole of the output was to the Imperial Government at lOd per lb. We understand the Government take this seasons’ output, but no price has, as yet, been determined upon. The year’s working shows a profit of £7BO 9s Id; this includes the coming season’s stores, which have been purchased out of this year’s income. This your Directors propose to distribute as follows: Id per lb on all butterfat. This brings the total payment on butter fat to Is 8d for the season. They also recommend a bonus of £5 to the first assistant, and a dividend of 6 per cent, on all paid-up shares. The whey butter plant purchased during the season was in working order by the end of November and 4,6001bs of butter were manufactured and sold readily.
