TRAM MEN RESUME.

The tramway mes resumed their duties this, morning under the conditions prevailing before the outbreak of the recent trouble. * A mooting is to bo held this afternoon between the General Manager and the union officials, preliminary to a conference between the Corporation officials and the union, with the Conciliation Commissioner presiding at three o’clock this afternoon.
MINING RETURNS. REEFTON, Oct. 4. The crushing returns for the month of September are as follows: — Progress—Crushed, 1650 tons, value, £2053, working expenses £2OIB, capital, £SO, development £290. Blackwater—Crushed 1871 tons, value £5734, working expenses £3012, capital £334, development £536, Shaft, £3SL Wealth of Nations.—Expenses £75, capital £lO2.
QUARTZ FIND. REEFTON, This Day. An important development took place in the Keep-it-Dark mine, Recfton this week. They have opened up a fine body of quartz in the bottom level at a de-pt-li of 1400 feet. The stone is 5 feet wide with a tendency to widen. Battery results are an ounce of gold per ton value of over four pounds.
