KOKATAHT SPRING SALE
Messrs .if. Houston , ami Co. report having held a successful sale of store cattle at the Kokntnhi yards on Wednesday. There was a splendid yarding i.f cattle and a good attendance of buyers. Owing to the scarcity of feed consequent on the lateness of the winter, tlie poorer-class of heifers and cows were dull and several linos were passed in, but on the other hand good steers.met with a ready sale at satisfactory prices. The following wore the sales, viz:—l vonlcr at ,LI 17s fid on account of Eyes Bros. ; 0 3-year steers at LI2 3s (kl. for Mr. J. Cropp; l stag M pit) His, 4 2-yenr steers at ,C 8 12s, 3 at Hi Is; 2 yearling heifers at £'o os, on account of S. Havill ; 1 yearling hull at LI (is. 0 3-year steers at Ll2 17s fid, 10 ;ti £lO 3s, 1 springer at L 8 12s (id, 2 steers at L(> 17s, 1 yearling heifers i t £5 17s (id. 1 vealer at L 5 2s (id oil account of Airs Ogilvie; (i yearling heifers iit LI His. on account- of I). Weir; 9 2-year old steers at fc‘B os (id, 1 cow at L 9 10s, I yearling steers at Co 18s, 18 12-mos. shorthorn steers at L 7 2s (id 1 cow at LS 10s. on account of Win. Jamieson ; 5 yearling steers at £(5 12s. i do at :t4 Ills, 2 springers at £lO. 2 2-year old springers at Lfi 17s fid, on account of a client; 2 springers at Lll, J at L 7 I os. for R.
