A French report states: The Germans,after ’ violently attacking in the Ulerinos region, on the Yosle . front, .rained a footing in some of our advanced elements. Oar counter-attack completely restored our line and yielded prisoners belonging to three regiments. Despite a vigorous resistance we, further south reached-the western outskirts of Oiffcncourt, capturing prisoners and numerous machine-gulls • \ French' report says: Between the yiletle and Aisne rivers the clay has been marked by violent enemy counterattacks on Moisy farm plateau and the region north of Allcmant, where o.es.»orate fighting took place all •'.ay long. Despite repeated efforts the enemy failed to recover our gams of the previous day. He lost heavily and left prisoners. A French communique states:-—Wes of St. Quentin, in conjunction with the British we have made a fresh advance. ’ During morning we captured Francilly, Selenov and the village «> Gallon. A French communique states : W ost of St Quentin the enemy attempted to eject us from l’Epine de Dallon. All his assaults were repulsed.
