The Air Ministry reports: Last night we dropped 17 thus of bombs in a successful attack on works at the Mannheim wharves, on factories westward of Karlsruhe, on blast furnaces at Burbacli and aerodromes at Boulay, Trescatz, and Morhange. A large fire broke out at- Karlsruhe. Good bursts were observed at Mannheim. We diTectly bit hangars at Frescatz and Morhange, and shot- down one hostile •machine. One British maohine has not returned.

Sir D. Haig, in an aviation report, states that despite low clouds and frequent showers, British aeroplanes have carried out useful work. On the 20th they destroyed 16 hostile machines and drove down three uncontrollable. Eleven British machines are missing. Wo shot down at night time a German two-engined bomber. Anti-arieraft guns brought down two additional hostile machines in the last thfee days a total of 261 tons of bombs Kere dropped on Friday.
