The Military Appeal Board will sit at Hokitika on Monday next at 10 a.m. Mrs C. Toohey has been advised that her son, Private Herbert J. Toohey was admitted to hospital in France on Sept 13th. suffering from abrasion or the hack. [n our acknowledgement on Friday last the donations of Airs W. Shad bolt and Airs Afilligan of Ruatapu each 2/0 to the Red and Black candidate were omitted. 'Mrs C. Peebles of Three Aide has been advised that her son Private C. T. Peebles was seriously ill on Sept. ]6th., from a gun shot wound in the thighs. T Groymouth was flooded to a considerable extent yesterday morning, much I of the low-lying parts of the town being I under water.
