The evening report of General Haig states northwestwards of St. Quentin wo further progressed yesterday. At night southwards mid northwards of Holone road we repulsed local hostile a tacks at Trescault and la Basse sector hostile artillery was active at night time; also in the Roull, Moeubren and Marquiou and Givenchy sectors; and with gas shells northwestward of Armentieres. A French communique says south or Bt. Jantin we advanced to the outskirts of Foimtaine Los C'lores. Between the Oise and the Aisne wo made local attacks with the object of improving our position. We captured the villages of Alltmont and Laffaux Mill, despite severe resistance, and increased our progress east of Saucy as well as north-east of Cellos Suir Aisne. 250 prisoners were counted. South of the Aisne we progressed and captured the village, of Glennes.
