Irkutsk is the only important point in the hands of the enemy. The State Department is advised of a Government at Omsk being formed similar to that formed at Vladivostok. Harmony prvails between these two Governments, who will co-operate with the Allies against the Bolsheviks and Prussians. THRONE OF FINLAND. AMSTERDAM, August 24. German papers state that Grand Duke Adolf, of Mecklenburg, accepts the throne of Finland, offered by the Finnish deputation, which is now in Berlin.
NEW UNION IN RUSSIA (Received This Dav. at 12.10. a.m.) ZURICH, Aii ff 25. The “Lokal Aimeger’s” Moscow correspondent states the cadets and popular Socialist Revolutionaries of tho Right and Maximalists have formed a union to regenerate Great Russia, in eluding Poland and the Baltic Provinces. Boris Samelkoff has been nominated as Dictator with General AlexiefY’s support. The union will not recognise tht Brest treaty. It proposes to continue the war against the Central Powers. , AN AIM THAT FAILED. (Received this day at 12.30 a.m.! COPENHAGEN, Aug. 25. Petrogrnd Telegraph Agency states the counter revolutionaries at Moscow aimed at the occupation of the highest points in the neighbourhood of the city, whence to bombard the Kremlin. The leaders were arrested and six were shot.
