A French communique states south of the Avre, after a bitter struggle, wo captured Beauvraignes. In the course of yesterday’s advance between the Mntz and the Oise we prisonerecl 500. East- of the Oiso wo atttacked in the morning on a. front of 15 miles from Bailly to the Aisne. On the left we reached the southern borders of the forest of Einschamps and the outskirts of Carlepont and Caisnes. In the centre wp captured Lebary and Blerancordelle, and gained a footing on the plateau north of Vassens. On the right we captured the ages of Vezaponin, Tarties and Louicy on Almont Asley and Courdl. Me made an average advance of 2J miles, and on the whole front we prisonered over 8.000. Altogether over 10,000 prisoners were taken since 19th August, between the Oise and Aisne alone.
