Sir Douglas Haig reports that the •enemy’s further attacks during th© morning and afternoon, astride of Bray Corbie road were repulsed after sharp fighting. _ ; . Attempted enemy raids southward of Hamel and southward of La Basse© were driven off. Th© progress of our patrols east ' Robecq continued and our lino between the La wo and Clarence rivers were advanced to a depth of a' thousand yards on a front of nearly five miles. Our patrols entered the enemy trenches east of Nieppe forest.
