AUSTRALIAN SUCCESSES. LONDON, July 30. Sir Douglas Haig reports that, on the night of the 29th the Australian First Division patrols, which entered the German positions about Morris, successfully established themselves east of the village, which they surrounded and captured. Our casualties were remarkably, light. The patrols captured prisoners in the Nieppe Forest sector. There is great hostile artillery fire on the new positions at Morris. RAIDING RESULTS. (AUSTRALIAN * N.Z. CAULF ASBOCIATn' & REUTER. 1 (Received This Day at 9.;>0. a.in.) LONDON, July 31. General Haig reports successful raids and patrol encounters in the neighbourhood of lines at Bethune and tile northern sector of our front. \Ve drove off raiders south-westward of La Bassce. The enemy artillery was active astride the Somme and about Morris and Kemmel sectors. ATTACKS REPULSED. (Received This Day at 9.50. a.in.) NEW YORK, July 31. The French defeated four German counter-attacks at Oulchy-le-Chateau.
