WELLINGTON, This Day.
The Minister of Public Works has been advised that the headings of Otira Tunnel have now been actually joined up most satisfactorily, conferring great credit on the engineers, whose work approached a record for accuracy. Tho alignment was only out tlireenuarters on an inch and the levels differed by only one inch and one eigtli, and the chninage thirty-six inches.
