Tho “New York Times” Washing ton correspondent states that a United States and Japan will send a joint military expedition to Vladivostock to hold the city as a base for operations of the. Czecho-Slovaks against former Austro-German prisoners of the wnr. It is understood that no other Ally will participate. AN AGREEMENT REACHED '• TOKIO, July 23. It is authoritatively understood that the Japanese Government have answered the United States Government, regarding intervention in Siberia agreeing in every detail to the terms pro- , posed by United States . Fallowing on eonfirmatiim of tho death of Quentin Roosevelt, Mr Wilson telegraphed to Mr Theodore Roosevelt : “Greatly distressed at the news of your son’s death.' Ho died serving his country with line gallantry.” Hundreds of telegrams and letters of sympathy have been received by the Roosevelt family at Oyster Bay.
