“The Small Town Girl” featuring June Caprice is .the star feature. A country girl, Jane cames to New York to take caro of her aunt’s child. In d squalid first avenue tenement she meet) . Frank, her old sweetheart, back home, , who had come to the city to make good. In the same house with Jane, is a band of crooks. They steal a jewel and hide it in the heel of a slipper belonging to Maine, the woman of the ' gang. Jane, the child, finds tho slip-' : per, and in a playful tussle over it with : Frank, pulls the hocl off and the gem j falls to the floor. Frank recognises ; the stolen gem, and hurries off to pet | the police. In the meantime, the crooks, discover the loss of the slipper, j ; Maine quizzes Jane, and learns Jan' J ! has it. There is a struggle, but the police come and the crooks are arrest- I ed. and Jane and Frank go back for. | ,■ their honey-moon.
