SCOTTISH TROOPS CAPTURE.
AUSTRALIANS ADVANCE LINE
LONDON, July 20.
Sir Douglas Haig states that the Scottish. troops captured Me tore n village, gaining all objectives and imprisoning' over throe hundred, tn-kitig » number of machine-guns. Under cover of this operation the Australians advanced their line a short distance southward of Meteren, taking prisoners in raids, and patro, encounters at Nippe Forest sector. Wo bombed many targets, including railway stations at Rosieres and Bray, and the docks at Bruges and Ostend. We downed nine aeroplanes. Seven British are missing. . Our night fliers dropped eight tons of bombs on Mons, and \ alenciennes railway, six tons on Countrai and Lille railways. Two aeroplanes have not returned. An American •communique states that between the Aisne and the Marne, we continued progress.
