Tho Annual Conference of Associated Chambers and Manufacturers of Australia, decided that in view of tho great need of harmony between employer and employed ,that efforts bo made as far us practicable to give employees a financial interest in their work by profit sharing, or bonus, on production. It was also resolved to support the Hon. Hughes’s advocacy of the retention of German colonies ia the Pacific. Other resolutions favoured preference of employment to returned soldiers and ithe compulsory making of all goods, containing not less than 33 per cent of Australian material and labour. All goods to be branded “Made in Australia,” and pushing efforts to educate the people in the duty of supporting Australian industry.
