THE RUSSIAN MIX UP

[PER PRESS ASSOCIATION.-—COPYRIGHT.]

ALLIED INTERVENTION

LONDON, July 18. The “Daily Chronicle” says a diplomatic correspondent foreshadows an immediate Allied intervention in Siberia. Following the Gzecho-Slovaks arrival at Vladivostok, Mr Wilson modified his earlier views, and no longer waits for a formal invitation from the Soviet, before considering if Allied action in Russia is justified. There is every reason to believe that an active agreement between Tokio and Washington is approaching. Japan, however is not so enthusiastic for intervention, as before. The Government is still favourable,’ but there- is opposition in commercial circles. OiIOLERA SPREADING. (Received This Day, at 12.10. a.m.) COPENHAGEN. July Cholera continues to spread in grad.
