RECRUITING IN IRELAND,
A VIGOROUS CAMPAIGN
(Received This Day at 11.25. a.m.) LONDON, July 9. Colonel Lynch has energetically taken up recruiting in Ireland. He has written an open letter inviting Roosevelt, who is a personal friend, to assist in a whirlwind campaign. He is also making an effort to secure a visit by General Joffro or a contingent' or French heroes.
Col. Lynch believes that the training of Americans in Ireland would have an excellent effect. He hopes to secure permission to personally address _ the Councils of Sinn Fein oi’ganisations. He believes the campaign will not only assist the war but will prepare the way for a final solution, of the Irish problem.
