[PER PRESS ASSOCIATION.—COPYRIGHT.) AUSTRIAN RIOTS. (Received This Day at 11.15 a.m.) AMSTERDAM, June 20. Serious riots occurred at Vienna on the 19th, the agitators protesting against the reduced broad rations. Mobs pilaged tho bakers and stoned Holburg Palace and the Premier’s residence. Cavalry are pouring into the city.

SERIOUS SHORTAGE, (Received This Day at 11.15 a.m.) AMSTERDAM Juno Latest reports from Austria and Germany .show that Austro-Hungarian food troubles are tho most serious during the war period. The agitation is reaching enormous proportions in the country districts. All Viennese newspapers denounce tho reduction demanding that Germany shall instantly give relief . Tho Austrian press assorts that Hungary is selfishly retaining supplies; The “Neuvo Erie Presso” declared that Austria for at least six weeks will bo forced to subsist on vegetables. Vienna’s burgomaster declares if the reduction is confirmed, he will refuse responsibility for the consequences.

Vienna telegrams report the City Council protested against tho reduction of the bread ration. They unsuccessfully appealed to Government for its cancellation. The Council explained that the German Government had pledged itself to distribute flour from Roumania Ukrania, and German stocks. Tho deliveries are now in arrear to the extern, of two thousand waggons, half of which is for civilians food. Tho Controller proceeded to Berlin to expedite deliveries. Austrian newspapers blame Germany for tho food shortage and express tho hope that the Food Controller’s visit to Berlin will he satisfactory.

Germnn newspapers declare they are unable to help Austria. Tho Mayor of Vienna announces that the supplies of potatoes will be ended next week and that ho won’t be responsible for any outbreaks resulting from a reduction of the bread ration. According to latest reports, crowds of excited work people are assembling in the streots.
