LICENSING ACT. Police v. Wm. McLean (Mr Murdoch) a charge of selling liquor after hours at Mahinapua hotel. Counsel pleaded guilty for the defendant, and asked for leniency of the Court, stating the licensee had transferred the license to the owner of the premises. Inspector Cruickshanks stated he would withdraw further charges arising out of the same circumstances. Convicted and fined £lO with costs 235. James Killen was charged with supply liquor arising out of tho above case. Mi Murdoch pleaded guilty. Con victcd and lined 20s.
