The court martial of Captain Matmer, formerly General Sarrail’s orderly officer while at Salonika, and (sergeant Parxeailles, on a charge of divulging coiafldeitial documents is proceeding in camera. The prosecution states that the documents handed to the Bonnet Rouge gang contained General Sarrail’s plans and information regarding the situation of the French Army and the number of its effectives.
General Cardonnier, contrary to General JSarrail’s opinion believes that the delivery of the documents to Almereyde had serious consequences on the French operations in the Far East, General Sarrail will give evidence.
