STATEMENT BY LLOYD GEORGE

LONDON, May 24. Hon. Lloyd George, speaking at Edinburgh, said on the eve of the great attack, the Allies were supremely confident. The United States Armies, as yet, were unable to do more than offset one fifth of the strength that Germany had obtained from the Russian front.
He ..also announced that the April shipbuilding output, overtook the submarine losses.
