[per PRESS ASSOCIATION. —COPYRIGHT.] GRiEYAIOUTH, This Day. Obituary.—Jacob Theodore Skoglund, an old identity and ex-mayor. [Mr J. T. Skoglund was a native of .Sweden, and came to Victoria in ISi.b In 1865, Air Skoglund came to New Zealand and for a considerable time he was a storekeeper on the diggings, being ut Stafford in the late sixties. Lid or he settled down at Grcymouth, wlr-re lie was in business as a commission agent, representative oi the Blackbnll Shipping Company, and secretary of the Greymouth Gas Company. He took a prominent part in municipal affairs and was Alayor of the town in 1896-7-8. He was a keen member of the Greymouth Bowling Club. Deceased leaves a widow and several sons and daughters.]
