CARSON AND HOME RULE,

LONDON. May 3. Tho Dublin correspondent of the “Times” states that Sir E. Carson has written to the committee of the Unionists of the Southern Counties of Ireland as follows:—“In the present'condition of Ireland, it is little short, of insanity, for the Government) to be re-opening the Home Rule question placing Ireland under the joint rule of Sinn Fein, tho Nationalists and the Roman Catholic Hierarchy, thereby revealing that the Government’s .statesmanship has been manufactured from panic and founded upon broken’ pledges and a breach of trust.”

Sir E. Carson adds that ho refuses to consider any alliance.
