LONDON April 8 Mi- Phillip Gibbs says the Germans are struggling hard to bring up heavy guns and to complete the organisation of tli'eir divisions, before attempting another drive on a big scale, that may come soon ns the Germans have still large concentration of troops. North of the Somme they must be very wretched, as they are always under our linrrassing tire in the stinking ditches about Avelav, Mosnil and Thiepval, where foul water lies stagnant below rows of dead, chopped trees, and V • frightful smell arising from the bntU „f two weeks ago, The Germans have no cover in this valley of death and wo .see every movement.
