HOKITIKA GOLF CLUB.

j The annual meeting of tlie Hokitika Gilf Club was held last evening a fair attendance being present. The Annual Report and Balance Sheet was read and adopted. , The following officers were elected — Captain Mr. J. C. Malfroy, Secretary Mr. W. Wilson, Committee, Mesdames Stewart, W. E. Williams, Messrs Brook, Hickson, Staveley. ’ McGregor 1 and Mackay. I It was resolved to donate the match entrance foes, £1 Is to the local Red Cross Fund. Mr Macfarlane, the club champion for 1917, also donated his trophy to the same fund . ‘ \ Feeling reference was made to the loss of one of the prominent members Mr. G. W. Moore, who was killed in action, fighting for his country.

Mr. T. W. Bruce was elected a member.

The Ladies Gold Club bold their meeting, prior to the general meeting, and it was decided to devote the proceeds from the Saturday teas in the coming season to Patriotic Funds.

In order to purchase supplies for this purygse, putting and other competitions will be held on the links on Easter Monday, to which the general public are cordially invited. A mixed) foursome will be played and the ladies of the Club are requested to firing, refreshments. During the year-the ladies club have played a series of matches and the entries viz., £6 11s have been donated to the New Zealand Golf Union Red Cross Fund.

The following is the draw for the foursomes to he played at 2.30 p.m. on Easter Monday. Members will please notify the Secretary if unable to play. Miss Kempthorne and W. Wilson, Mrs Doctor and J.
