WANGANUI SESSIONS. , [PER PRESS ASSOCIAVION.—COPYRIGHT.J WANGANUI, February 12.

At the Supreme Court to-day, John Clark, travel ling auctioneer was found guilty of setting lire t<> premises at Stratford. Sentence was' deferred. Catherine Milne came up for sentence on charges of attempted suicide and the attempted murder of her child. Mr Justice Edwards deferred sentence in order to consult, with other judges. James Dickson was found guilty of committing an unnatural offence. His Honour said prisoner was an old hand, and came from 'Vancouver. He regretted he had not the power to order his deportation. Prisoner was sentenced to live years’ imprisonment.

SUPREME' COURT SENTENCES WANGANUI February 15. To-day Justice Edwards .sentenced John Benjamin Clarke, to six years for arson at Stratford. The evidence disclosed that prisoner was an Australian spieler. Catherine 7 Milne - was sentenced to five years reformative treatment for attempted murder and suicide.
