CASS SQUARE TO-NIGHT

Barton’s Circus arrived back Ironi Ross this afternoon, and to-night on Cass Square they will give' the filial performance of the season. The - fine weather will enable the performers and horses to give a greatly improved entertainment, and the management promise a: first class performance with several new items and specialities. The Fredo Boys will give some additional items while the equestrian performance will include some clever riding and driv ing feats of special interest. The clowns will be in tlieir element on the dry ground and their ever sparkling humour will be something to be remembered by the. kiddies for many days. Every boy is invited to have one last shot at riding the donkey, or riding in the steeplechase which will conclude a very full and attractive programme. THIEF.”—TO-NIGHT. * The star feature for to-night is “The Love Thief.” The story shows that .Juanita.,a Mexican girl, falls in love with Arthur Boyce, an American Army captain, and through a ruse induces his fiancee (Clara Nelson) to break off the engagement. When Juanita sees that even then slic cannot make Bovee love her her affection turns into hatred. In a raid on a border town, Clare is taken prisoner by Juanita and her ally Costa. Boyce, who goes to the rescue, is captured himself. However, the two Americans get together, outwit their guard and make off towards the f a.ted States frontier. Juanita starts in pursuit, hut is shot down by American soldiers in a battle with the Mexican squad she is leading, and Bovee ana Clare are re-united. The story is a very thrilling ( ono. A capital travelogue and comedy makes up a fine programme.
