DALGETY’S INAUGURAL WEST COAST SALE. Messrs Dalgety and Co., Limited, held their first West Coast stock sale at Totnra Flat yards yesterday. It was a lovely day and the large entry and the sale of Mr. Blank’s Kopara station, no doubt, was responsible for the large attendance. It is questionable if ever before such a number had attended a Totara Flat sale. The farm wa s submitted to the hammer, first as a going concern', and then at per acre; hut failing to reach the reserve put on it was passed in. | The following stock was sold :—Account of Mr. W. Ryan: 3 steers at £7, ss; 2 empty heifers £8 2s 6d; 3 others at £6 '18s; 2 heifers £5 15s; account Price Hamer: 5 vealers £3 12s 6d; account Mr A. W. Begg 3 steers £7 2s 6d
account Mr. P. O’Donnell 8 cows £6 16s; 5 vealers £2, 1 steer £7 17s 611; 2 yearlings £4 9s; 4 heifers £4 16s; account Mr. F. Munden: 10 18 month-old steers £ll 15s, 9 steors, 3 and 4-year old £l2 12s; account Mr. H. B. Palmer: 1 springer £7 17s 6d; account Mr. Leo Bell: 1 cow £7 7s 6d; account Mr. F. Reineheimer: 44 lambs £1; account Mr. J. Halpin: 96 fat shepe 37s Id; account Mr. J. E. White: 2 Romney rams £5 5s to £5 15s.
