A French communique says:—Baking, advantage of the fine weather our ehaseur planes were successfully active in real air battles fought against German squadrons, well over the German lines. Eight enemy < machines were brought down, and five others fell, seriously hit, and probably destroyed. In the East in ten days of January 28 enemy aeroplanes were downed.
