AMSTERDAM, Feb. 5. In the Bavarian Diet, the Socialist leader, Spetz declared that Prussian T ism had become Germany’s peril. Ger Vj many had 1,300,000 killed, equal the. number incapacitated in the war Bavaria lacked coal, food and clothing, yet Prussianism pursued ruthless conquests. Similar anti-Prussian feeling was expressed in the Baden Parliament Clerical, Liberal and Socialist deputies protested against Prussian commanders’ treatment of Baden soldiers, and demanded. a revision of the 1871 Treaty.
ENEMY CONFERENCE. (Received this day at 1.20 a.m.,) LONDON February 5. Hie Kaiser presided at a Berlin conference, including Generals and Premiers of all the Centrals. The Crown Pririce was also present.
INTERNAL GERMANY. , Received, this day at 8.45 a.m. BERNE, Feb'. 6. The “ Frankfurter Zeitung” indicates the conference in Berlin is discussing peace with Ukraine. The “ Zeitung ” adds that it is becoming increasingly clear that Trotsky doesn’t aim at peace but general revolution, making peace with Ukraine increasingly necessary. The “Berliner Tagleblatt ’,’ says the conference is also discussing the possibility of a peace with Routnania.
GERMAN PRESS ANGRY
AMSTERDAM, Feb. 6.
The German press is angry and disappointed at the result of the Versailles Conference, and says it is evident that the Allies were never so determined on wir as at Versailles. It is a victory far M. Olemenceau and Hon Lloyd George. Germany is not afraid of another year or two of war, but the Entente must be punished for prolonging the world’s agony.
