TRAINS AND CHARGES.

At a meeting of the Greymouth Borough Council on Thursday night, the Duller County Council acknowledged receipt of resolution in regard t,o lack of suitable holiday train s and increased charges, and intimated that, the Buffer Council unanimously supported the resolution. Anent, the above, the Prime Minister replied that he would he glad to see that careful consideration is given to the''resolution. The Town Clerk, Wellington City Council,' acknowledged receipt of copy of the resolution and stated same would he duly brought before hi s Council. The Town. Clerk, Hokitika, stated that “at a mooting of the* Hokitika Borough Council hold on the 18th, yonr letter was ‘received.’ ” Chorus of councillors: “Hokitika received it”—with emphasis bn the word ‘■‘received.”
Cr. Doogan: Wonder if that is because Greymouth started it?
