PRICE OF SCHEELITE. WELLINGTON, Jan'. 23. The Government has received a cable message stating that the Imperial Government is now prepared to increase tlie price of seheelite delivered ex warehouse, London or Liverpool, as from Jan. Ist 1918, to 60s per unit for ore on the basis of 6 per cent, tungstic acid, less 1 per cent, brokerage; and to compensate New Zealand produceis for increased freight, war risk and insurance charges, estimated at 3s lOd per unit.

SUDDEN DEATH AT NELSON. NELSON, Jan. .25. Mr. Will Widdowson, resident engineer for the Public Works Department, died suddenly this /evening. Mr. Widdowson had been stationed at, Nelson for about, 6 years having previously been in charge of construction work nt Catlins and Roxburgh railwar. Efe left a widow and two sons, both at the front, and three daughters.
