NEW ZEALANDERS IN LONDON.
MR. JAMIESON’S ALLEGATION'S DENIED. [PER PRESS ASSOCIATION. —COPYRIGHT.] LONDON January 3. The Y.M.C.A officials declare that Mr Jamieson’s speech at Christchurch to the effect that'nothing is done in London for New Zealanders is absolutely incorrect. To men are met at the stations and taken to the Shakespeare hut near the Rritisli Museum where 320 beds are provided. A programme of sightseeing and entertainment is arranged, and meals are supplied covering the w‘ole period of leave. London hostels accommodated 16,900 soldiers from all parts of the Empire last week on the same, system as the provinces. Mr Jamiesoji must not expect the greatest city in the world to be like a New Zealand glade under treeferns. Sir E. Henry, Commissioner of Police, declared that Air. Jamieson’s speech was a gross exaggeration and failed to place the blame oil the right shoulders.
