Vice-Admiral Rosslyn Wcmyss has been appointed to succeed Admiral Jollicoe.
The latter has been raised to the peerage in recognition of his very distinguished services.
It is hoped that Admiral Jcllieoc’s experience will bo utilised later by another important appointment.
