AMSTERDAM Dec 23. The Chamber voted confidence in the Government- by 345 to 50 and approved of the continuance of the war to a victoriius conclusion .

AMSTEU December 23. The “Telcgraf” states a fire at Krupp’s was due to a short circuit in the power station which was seriously damaged. (Received Hus day at 12.30 a.m.) AMSTERDAM, Dee. 26th. Dutch who have returned from Germany say the food is no longer edible, and is more suitable for pigs. The middle class are the most starved, and the mortality among children is alarming. Whole families are famished and are slowly going under.
GERMAN SOCIALISTS....(Received This Day at 9.50 a.m.', WASHINGTON, December 26. According to official information from Germany the anti-war Socialists are growing stronger than the Independent Social-Democratic Party. The membership is 120,000. The influence of German women is generally against the war.
