MINISTERIAL MUNIFICENCE. V “MERRY CHRISTMAS” FOR SICK SOLDIERS. (New Zealand Times). “I am pleased to say the Minister for Public Tlr-a'lth has seen his way to make a handsome donation of £9 for the entertainment of all soldiers in the hospital at Christmas.” This announcement was made with eclat- by Air. A member: “Oh, take them to a picture show.” film telegram from the Minister is to the effect that “the Government desires that suitable Christmas entertainment shall be provided for nil soldiers and discharged soldiers in hospitals and convalescent homes.” It- nsks the Chairman of the Board to take steps to arrange for the entertainment the cost of which should not exceed £9, and will he provided" frojn patriotic moneys.
