Air (AMERICAN STATEMENT. (Received This Ray at 12.2/5. p.m.) NEW YORK, December 13. Mr. Baker in a speech said America was showing the world an unwillingness to fight and did' not mean inability to fight. There will he two results from the war. The first is an Allies military victory, and the second, the vindication of the inviolate righteousness of treaies and the proof that among nations, as the individual, the wages of sin is death. He added that Mr. Daniels had stated already that a thousand American ships were serving the Allies cause.
