AMUSEMENTS.

POLLARD’S PICTURES. PRINCESS THEATRE, / TO-NIGHT. The World .Film Corporation stars Alice Brady and Gerda Holmes will be seen to-night at their best as the sisters in the smart Paragon play, 11 The Hungry Heart ” to be screened by Pollards. This -wonderful Parisian success is an adaptation of the famous French play Frou-Frou ” and tells a most emotional story of Fron Frou,” the butterfly wife of a man older titan herself. The outstanding feature of this production is the'delightful acting of Alice Brady and Gerda Holmes as the sisters, one a butterfly whom wifehood and motherhood cannot alter : the other a righteous and tender-hearted slave to duty. The story is full of strongly emotional scenes, and Alice Brady is extremely good in the delineation of the agony of the wilful girl, whose wrong doingcauses great grief to those by whom she is beloved. Special mention must be made of the acting of Ray Carrar as George, the charming, child of Frou Frou and her elderly husband. A duel fought under modern conditions is one of the central incidents in Frou Frou, and g-ood photography is noticeable throughout the screening of the drama. The lover of Frou Frou is killed and the young wife is changed into a broken-hearted woman. Stricken in health she seeks tiie forgiveness of her 1 ins band and dies in liis arms. The rapid moving 2000 ft Keystone comedy “His Last Cent ” supports the star picture.
