. KANIERT DEFENCE RIFE CLUB. '• The final shoot for Mr Brockleliurst's trophy took place on the Kanieri Rifle Range on the 27th Inst. The light was very dull aud the wind tricky, Rifleman Kulsen having the benefit of the wind by drawing for last place. 'The shoot was witnessed by a fair number of spectators, and great excitement was. caused by the two scratch men leaving others with large handicaps far behind. The shoot resulted in Rifleman Kulsen winning the gold medal, and President Head the silver medal.
