REV. GRiAY-DIXON ELECTED MODERATOR.

DUNEDIN, November 24

At the Presbyterian Assembly to-dnv it was announced that the Prosbyterie s had nominated for the Moderalorship in 1918, Professor Hewitson, the Revs. J. A. Aslier, J. Camming, Currie and R. S. Gray-Dixon. The first four of these withdrew their names, and the Rev. Gray-Dixon wa s elected Moderator.

The Assembly appointed Mr. John Bissett, of Auckland Assembly Evangelist, at. a salary of £3OO, with travelling expenses and £SO house allowances. The Rer. J. Camming was appointed an Assembly Evangelist without financial responsibility.
