LIVE STOCK REPORT
At Preston Road, yesterday there was an entry of 42 extra prime quality cattle and 220 fat sheep. Mark Sprot and Co, report their sale, as follows: AYe sold 14 prime bullocks, from £2O/2/6 to £l6ys. 4 fat cows from £l6/12/6 .to £l6/5, 3 fat bullocks at £l6/5, 1 fat heifer at £l6, 1 bullock at £lB, Price per 100 lbs, realised probably the highest this season. An advertised entry from South Westland did not- come to hand and caused an unsatisfied demand. Some of our clients were unable to secure supplies. In the meantime we sold in the yards 98 shorn Canterbury wethers at 38/6 to 37/- and privately 65 mixed shorn ewes and wethers from Canterbury at 35/-6.
