WELLINGTON, Nov. 20th.' < The Minister of Defence has received cable advice that the 34th New Zealand Mounted Rifles Reinforcement are all well at a port of call. A RUMOUR DENIED. WELLINGTON, Nov. 2(5. ■ The Defence Minister stated to-day that the report in circulation that General Godley, who is in charge, of an Army Corps with which the New Zealand Division is incorporated,, had been recalled from the front, was not correct. FOUND DROWNED. NELSON November 26. The body of Charles Berkett, a wellknown horseman and trainer for many years in the employ of the late Henry Redwood, was found in the Wairoa river at Appleby yesterday. Deceased had teen" missing since Wednesday. At- an inquest a verdict of found 4rowired was roturhfed.
